近年来，浏览器市场新秀不断，特别是Mozilla推出的Firefox，凭借着功能优势，一步步蚕食微软IE浏览器的市场份额。这让微软感受到了威胁，微软推出新一代浏览器IE7，来迎接这些新兴浏览器的挑战。

近日，Janco Associates公司表示，自从微软发布IE7并自动更新强行推送给用户之后，Firefox快速增长势头有所减缓。

据悉，从2006年12月至今年3月，Firefox市场份额从12.5%增长到13.4%，增长不到1%。与此同时，IE市场份额却从原来的67.5%攀升到70.5%，其中IE7市场份额增长快速，从6.9%升到了18.7%。

在浏览器市场，微软IE仍然有着较为稳固的统治地位。该公司CEO Victor Janulaitisuo认为，Firefox增速减缓，意味着IE竞争对手无法在“没有重大新功能和驱动力”的情况下取代微软IE。
