【eNet硅谷动力消息】8月14日消息，据国外媒体报道，为了进一步增加市场份额，Mozilla公司正准备多方面改进火狐浏览器的营销方式。
Mozilla公司影响营销团队的Batson早些时候在博客文章中写道：“迄今为止，为了让用户更多地下载Firefox浏览器，公司做了非常好的工作。然而，我们的数据表明，这些用户中有很多人没有成为Firefox的长期积极用户。我们需要找出如何克服'点击蓝色e'（使用微软浏览器）这种默认习惯的办法。”
Firefox维基发布的有关数据表明，在下载Firefox浏览器的用户中，有近一半人从未主动安装程序，而另一半下载用户被认为是Firefox的积极用户。
针对这种情况，Mozilla集团决定采取一系列营销措施。例如，公司将改进Firefox的桌面图标，以便以更清晰的文本指示图标的目的功能。公司还将设法让图标在用户桌面、Windows快速启动条或Mac机的OS X的Dock上更突出地显示出来。
Mozilla集团还打算修改将Firefox作为默认浏览器的提示方式，目的是让对用户的提示看上去更加“美好”一些。其他促销措施有，新增加通过浏览器标签滚动的预览网页功能，这种方式类似于现代操作系统中的应用程序切换。
Mozilla维基的相关文章称，Mozilla集团的目标是：火狐浏览器每月能增长10%，到2008年该开源浏览器占市场份额的30%。Firefox现在的月平均增长率为3.7%。
