AllPeers—把Firefox变成BT客户端
经过一段时间的邀请测试后，AllPeers今天正式开放，AllPeers是FireFox的一个P2P插件，总的大小有3900 KB 之多。该插件将在Firefox内添加一个新的工具条，点击可以在浏览器左侧打开一个新的面板，用户可以在这里通过一个单独的标签页共享和交换文件，同时不会影响在其它标签页内对网页内容的浏览。通过这个插件，用户可以组建“朋友”群，一起共享私人文件；如果一个用户添加了新的共享文件，群内其它用户都可以在自己的浏览器内看到并下载。该功能的实现途径为BitTorrent技术，插件内置了一个完整的BitTorrent客户端。另外，AllPeers对文件分享的权限把握的非常严格，如果你的好友栏中没有人，那就基本上下载不到任何东西，因为它不提供文件搜索等功能，也就是说你不可能从不认识的人那里下载，所以AllPeers只适合于朋友间的文件传输和分享。在托盘栏中也放置了一个AllPeers图标，当关闭Firefox的时候，AllPeers还是在运行中，所以不必担心下载会中断。
